Ran the Pokémon showdown program the day the incident happened, got an “error -36” reset the computer and here begins the loop. Have not installed or updated anything new recently. Through recovery mode I am able to reset my computer through boot camp, just Macintosh HD is frozen on the loading bar at the mid point, even after leaving it on for 40 minutes. Apple genius said I could try installing it on an external hardrive but I don’t know what that will accomplish and I don’t feel comfortable deleting files through terminal. I can not re install Big Sur because it says I need 2.6 extra gigs of room, I have 40Gb available and 34Gb free to use. In recovery mode I first aided my disks and reset the computer, same issues. Safe mood does not work, it just freezes at the same spot as booting normally. I have reset nvram/pram, unplugged the unit and waited 15 seconds and restarted it, and tried booting it in safe mode. Now it crawls and gets stuck at the halfway mark. Normally, after putting in my password, the bar speeds through and brings me to desktop.
